In this composition, I think around 17 photos were used within this image. The photos seem to have been taken on different days due to the change in weather within some of the photos. Some photos have a more overcast look and others are brighter, indicating that it was sunny one day and rainy/overcast on another. Some photos seem to have an increased grain effect and have a blurred feature. Those edits can be noticeable in the middle of the composition. To take these images, McNally had to take a photo of the entire area, to get a base. Then, he had to come back on different days to capture the different crowds within the area. McNally made sure to capture different angles and different weather conditions. After McNally gathered all the photos, he was able to cut the pieces from each that he wanted to include and put them all together to create this composition.
describe the image
This image seems like an artistic image. Part of me feels like it is photoshopped but another part of me feels as if the face of the girl is a painting, because of the very detailed nose and features, and the person is standing on it. This image conveys the message of there's always something around you that may not be directly in your line of vision. I think the photographer had an intention of making the viewer think and find a deeper meaning to this picture. The difference in scale between the face and the man confuses the viewer on what is actually happening. The man looks as if he could be rock climbing or exploring the features of the girl, or just working on the girls face in general.
